There are things on Facebook I can't share, including the horrible news I got on Friday.
My boss told me he's leaving the Academy and going back to LA. It totally threw me off, and I am still in shock. He told me before he told our ED, and as soon as he left to tell him, I burst into tears and couldn't stop. I had planned on leaving early to hang out with friends in SJ that evening, and it turned out I had to leave even earlier since I was going downtown for a work errand. It worked out because I left before it was announced to the entire staff and avoided people running up and asking if I am okay.
Friday sucked, and every time I thought about Don and him leaving, I would tear up. Over the weekend it happened, too. I feel so numb, and I feel lame for being so upset about it. I've never had an amazing boss like Don. He has been an amazing mentor and role model to me since I came to the Academy. He's given me such great insight not just into my professional life, but my personal life as well. He's mellowed me out more than anyone has ever been able to because he doesn't point fingers or place blame, but works to resolve any problems. He's given me perspective on things I never thought I'd be able to cope with, a compassion and understanding for those that aren't as open minded.
I could go on and on. Don is an amazing person, I have been so lucky to have him as a boss, and I am lucky to have someone like him in my life. There is no way I will ever lose touch with him, even if he is moving to the Devil's land haha
I just know that whoever replaces him has some big shoes to fill...
Frugal & Fabulous
I'm probably going to turn it into a shopping blog, but mostly I'm doing cooking adventures.
Funny how I'm celebrating 11 years with LJ in May...that is INSANE!!!
I'll be around, but come visit me on Wordpress <3

Enjoy! I know I do everytime I look at them :)
Picked this dress up at Nordstrom yesterday, I'm so glad I did. I wasn't sold on the first dress I bought. Dress is Donna Ricco (on sale for $45, awesome steal!), cardigan is Target, shoes are Jessica Simpson (I have 3 pairs in a similar style because I love them so much...comfy!!). I got the necklace at this shop called Jest Jewels in Cow Hollow.
Now off to Oakland for Jess's wedding! I'm doing her make-up. Woohoo!
